[Verse 1]
There are places where I was rejected,
There are doors that were closed to me.
Like Joseph cast into the pit by his brothers,
Like David overlooked in the fields.
But rejection will not be my ending,
And my setback will not be my grave.
The God who raised Christ from the dead
Still brings purpose out of pain.
[Chorus]
God will bring me back,
Yes, He will bring me back!
Back to the place He prepared for me.
God will bring me back,
Yes, He will bring me back!
What was rejected, He will use for His glory.
I will rise again,
By the mercy and power of God.
I will rise again,
God is restoring all that was lost.
[Verse 2]
Maybe I am in a strange land now,
Like Israel by Babylon’s streams.
Maybe my name is forgotten by people,
But I am remembered by the King.
Lord, if You have called me,
Do not let rejection silence me.
As You restore the years that were stolen,
Lead me back to Your purpose for me.
[Chorus]
God will bring me back,
Yes, He will bring me back!
Back to the place He prepared for me.
God will bring me back,
Yes, He will bring me back!
What was rejected, He will use for His glory.
I will rise again,
By the mercy and power of God.
I will rise again,
God is restoring all that was lost.
[Verse 3]
Jephthah was rejected,
Driven from his father’s house.
His brothers sent him into exile,
But God had not cast him out.
When the battle threatened their land,
The elders came and called his name.
The one they once rejected
Returned by God’s appointed hand.
He did not return by human favor
Or by the strength of his name.
The Spirit of the Lord came upon him,
And God turned sorrow into praise.
So rejection is not my ending;
This present place is not my final place.
The God who called Jephthah from Gilead
Can call me from my wilderness.
[Bridge]
Where I was rejected, God can restore me.
Where I was forgotten, God remembers me.
Where I was wounded, God will heal me.
Where I was denied, God will make a way.
