hides behind the curtain’s sway,
Then pounces feet that walk his way.
He bites my toe, then acts all sweet,
And rubs his face against my seat.
He steals my snacks, then looks confused—
Like *I* broke trust he never used.
But one small trill, a tilted head—
And I forgive the yarn he shred.
