[UK FREESTYLE – “MADE IT OUT”]
Yo…
Listen.
I grew up where the nights had sirens for lullabies,
Mum stressing bills, tryna hide the pain behind tired eyes.
Empty fridge, cold floors, heart full of hunger,
Dreams big but the roads turn kids into runners.
Money was a myth, we was living off hope,
Same jeans all year, stitching tears in the coat.
Trauma in my chest, yeah it sits real deep,
Seen man lose their life, now I struggle with sleep.
Same ends where the smiles don’t last,
One wrong step and your name’s in the past.
Candles on corners, pictures on tees,
Mothers crying out, begging God “please”.
I watched friends turn ghosts in a blink,
One day joking, next day poured drinks.
Killings on the news but it’s closer than that,
It’s your bredrin’s face in a blacked-out snap.
Poverty taught me how to think ahead,
When you got nothing, pressure lives in your head.
I learned early, nobody’s coming to save you,
Either you break or the pain gonna shape you.
Money on my mind, not for chains or fame,
I want mum stress-free, that’s the realest gain.
Power’s being calm when the past still chases,
When success don’t erase all the trauma you’re facing.
I seen fake love change when the money gets near,
Same ones doubting wanna toast with a cheer.
But I remember nights when my phone stayed dry,
Praying for a sign, staring holes in the sky.
Roads tried claim me, I said “not today”,
I picked purpose over momentary pay.
I ain’t proud of the scars but they built my frame,
Every loss left lessons, every tear left flame.
Now I step in rooms they said I’d never enter,
From the block to stages, yeah the climb was mental.
Still carry the hood, still talk to the youth,
Tell them don’t glamorise coffins and truths.
I made it this far but I’m still on route,
Top ain’t a place, it’s the mindset proof.
From trauma to focus, from broke to power,
I survived the dark just to rise and tower.
Yeah…
I made it out.
Still climbing.
