Verse 1
Alone in the valley of deepest darkness,
Frightened and confused.
It seemed that You were far away from me,
Not beside me like all the other times.
Chorus
Yes, He will never forsake you;
He would rather die than leave you alone.
He is always by your side,
Right next to you all the time.
Verse 2
Now the wolves are gathering round me,
I can hear them howl.
Oh, my Saviour, where are You hiding?
I can't see You like all the other times.
Chorus
Yes, He will never forsake you;
He would rather die than leave you alone.
He is always by your side,
Right next to you all the time.
Verse 3
Lord Jesus, are You really with me?
Do You hear my cry?
Why have You led me through this dark valley?
I can't find You like all the other times.
Chorus
Yes, He will never forsake you;
He would rather die than leave you alone.
He is always by your side,
Right next to you all the time.
Verse 4
Oh Lord, are You also afraid?
Have You turned away?
Are You not the mighty God You've always been,
Like all the other times?
Ending (slowly, in the Lord's voice of assurance)
I was here beside you all along,
Right here next to you.
Fear and doubt have closed your eyes.
If you had only trusted Me,
You would have seen My glory lighting the valley.
I have been right next to you all the time.Right Next to You All the Time
