[Verse 1]
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name
On Christ the solid rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand
[Verse 2]
When darkness hides His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil
His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the overwhelming flood
[Chorus]
On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand
When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne
[Verse 3]
Not to rely on worldly schemes, but faith in Him who intercedes
His righteousness each day imparts, securing souls and healing hearts
Thus I will journey, steadfast stay, until I reach that golden day
With Jesus my salvation, I remain, by grace and truth I’ll stay
[Chorus]
On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand
When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne
[Bridge]
Only Jesus, only grace, in His blood I find my place
Righteousness, a gift received, by faith in Him I am believed
[Chorus]
On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand
When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne
[Outro]
On Christ, my hope remains, forever fixed, forever sure
In His blood and righteousness, my heart finds endless cure
