Lance Amuri
They wanna see me down
In the struggles, wearin' a frown
Thinkin' I'm lost, thinkin' I'm weak
But they don't know the fire that I seek
I'm risin' up, like the sun in Juba's heat
Unstoppable, can't nobody stop my beat
Got my eyes on the prize, ain't no lookin' back
I'm runnin' this race, got my own track
They wanna see me down, think I'm playin' small
But I'm bigger than my past, I'm standin' tall
Got my roots in South Sudan's soil
I'm growin' strong, like the Nile's fertile boil
I hear 'em whisper, "he's not gonna make it"
But I'm shinin' brighter, like the stars in Lokichokio's night
I'm carvin' my path, like the Jonglei Canal's flow
I'm findin' my voice, like the Dinka's powerful cow
They wanna see me down, think I'm losin' my way
But I'm findin' myself, in the midst of the fray
I'm learnin', I'm growin', I'm breakin' the mold
I'm becomin' the best, I'm shinin' gold
I'm not just a dreamer, I'm a doer, I'm a go-getter
I'm takin' control, I'm no longer a setter
I'm the architect, I'm buildin' my fate
I'm the master, of my own game, ain't no debate
They wanna see me down, but I'm on the rise
Got my head held high, got my spirit fly
I'm soarin' high, like the eagles in Nimule's sky
I'm unstoppable, I'm a force, don't wanna try
I'm a South Sudanese boy, with a heart of gold
I'm a warrior, I'm a king, I'm takin' my throne, ain't no hold
I'm breakin' barriers, I'm shatterin' glass
I'm makin' my mark, I'm makin' it last
So don't you see, they wanna see me down
But I'm risin' up, wearin' a crown
I'm a star, I'm a diamond, I'm a gem
I'm unstoppable, ain't nobody gonna stop my stem. It's Lance Amuri
