Sunny Prom Night

[Intro] Soft lights glow on a crowded gym, the night feels new Buttons pressed, corsages bright, hearts in quiet bloom [Verse 1] Boutonnières kiss the lapels, a moon in the hall Laughter like confetti, we chase the music down the wall Dress shoes tapping heartbeat tempo, eyes meet and smile We’re learning how to be brave for a little while [Pre-Chorus] If storms come rolling in, we’ll stand in the glow Hand in hand, we’ll find the brightness no one can slow [Chorus] There will always be sunny days, after rain and fire’s glow We’ll rise with the dawn together, let the hopeful challenge show Dance through the splashes of the night, let courage be our guide We promise to carry this young light far and wide [Verse 2] Locker doors swing open like a wave along the shore Friends collect stories that shine brighter than before We trade shy glances for dreams we both choose to chase Prom night a doorway to a road we’ll happily embrace [Pre-Chorus] If storms come rolling in, we’ll stand in the glow Hand in hand, we’ll find the brightness no one can slow [Chorus] There will always be sunny days, after rain and fire’s glow We’ll rise with the dawn together, let the hopeful challenge show Dance through the splashes of the night, let courage be our guide We promise to carry this young light far and wide [Bridge] When the world feels heavy, we’ll recall this glow A chorus in our pockets, a map we’ll always know [Chorus] There will always be sunny days, after rain and fire’s glow We’ll rise with the dawn together, let the hopeful challenge show Dance through the splashes of the night, let courage be our guide We promise to carry this young light far and wide [Outro] So here’s to promises made under chandeliers and stars To growing up gently, with courage in our hearts
