Refuge in the Darkness
Refuge within the darkness,
abandonment in the heart,
bleeding inside,
fighting against oneself.
Watching time go by,
bending everywhere,
the shadow of your face
is still there.
Memories that fade away,
another piece of the soul
that will never return.
Tears of blood roll down,
lost feelings,
silenced voices
in a world where you are not.
An emptiness
I cannot bear to face.
There is no longer an “us,”
only longing
for the time when we were two
in a single body.
Now, the emptiness of one
is the place where neither of us remains.
Cold skin,
distant gaze,
tears of pain.
Lost,
where only shadows wander.
And your face, as a memory,
begins to fade away,
to exist nowhere
and not even remain in memory.
Only a love remains,
kept in the forgotten depths of my chest,
that will never fade.
