Brighter Tomorrow

[Intro] Dust in the air, I start to sing [Verse 1] I left my homeland when the drums still beat I carry a small bag and a beating heart In a Ugandan camp, we guard our hopes at night I’m twenty years old, chasing a future bright [Chorus] Hold on, hold on, we’ll rise again Our stories light the night like trains of rain Hope will carry us through the rain and pain [Verse 2] Inflation bites, corruption stains the dawn But my voice rises up, singing on and on Refugees whisper prayers in the dusty air I sing for a tomorrow we all can share [Chorus] Hold on, hold on, we’ll rise again Our stories light the night like trains of rain Hope will carry us through the rain and pain [Outro] We rise together, till the morning comes CD4CELL Music
