[Intro]
We laid the first stone, steady and sure
[Verse 1]
In the sunlight, dust on our hands, we prayed for mercy, prayed for grace
I looked up and found a hopeful gaze, a name that softly set my heart in place
Taylor R, a gentle spark in the pews, a laugh that turned the morning gold
We spoke in quiet promises, in prayers whispered, in a faith that felt like home
[Pre-Chorus]
And when the hammer sang the hours by, I felt a future near
A blessing in the choirs above, saying, "Hold her dear, hold her dear"
[Chorus]
Taylor R, you showed me love in holy light
We walked the aisles of mercy, hand in hand, made light a sight
If faith is a fire, you stirred the flame, and darling, I am whole
With every prayer and every breath, you entered to heal my soul
Taylor R, together we’re a sacred harmony
Grateful hearts in grateful God’s embrace, in you I’ve found my melody
[Verse 2]
We built the hall with steadfast hands, while love began to gently rise
Sharing cups of patience, stories old and new, seen through grateful eyes
In the quiet moments after rain, your name became my prayer and guide
We counted blessings, not the days, and found our rhythm side by side
[Pre-Chorus]
The bells of hope rang soft and clear, sealing what we felt inside
A vow beneath the vaulted skies, where truth and mercy often reside
[Bridge]
Through every trial, your steady smile stayed near
In every hymn, I hear Psalm and promise crystal clear
We lift our voices, grateful for the grace that brought us here
Two hearts in covenant, love’s redeemed frontier
[Outro]
So here we stand beside the hall we built with care
Whispered thanks rise higher than the steeple in the air
Taylor R, you are my answered prayer, forever near and true
In every blessing, I find us, in God’s grace, me and you
